I Kings 17:8-16 ▪ Romans 6:19-23 ▪ ✞ Mark 8:1-9
God kept his Word through the prophet Elijah to provide for a widow and her son when all seemed hopeless. (In Kings 17:8-16) That Word is fulfilled in the Word made flesh, Jesus, who had compassion on a crowd of 4000 and provided bread for them in the wilderness. (Mark 8:1-9) Jesus not only provides for our bodies but also our souls. “For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus.” (Romans 6:24). Jesus is the Bread of Life for both body and soul.
