The Church is living during the time in between. It is the time in-between Jesus’ ascension which occurred 40 days after Easter and Jesus’ return on the Last Day to bring his Church home. During this time in between the Church finds herself in an unfriendly world. (John 16:1-4) Though she does, Jesus provides a safe place in the Church caring for her members by the Spirit-breathed apostolic witness (John 15:26-27) in the Means of Grace and working in us love for one another (I Peter 4:7-11)
